Quince
In the parking strip between 22nd and 24th on NE Everett St. Bears loads of hard, bitter fruit that should only be eaten cooked until soft — good for tarts, jellies and lamb stews. Quince begin ripening in October and are bright yellow/orange with no green tint when ripe. Ask the neighbors in the duplex first.
