What is Gatherly?

Gatherly is a community map of time-sensitive local spots — places where something is happening right now, from farmers markets and food trucks to wildflower blooms and salmon runs. People add spots and post status updates so others nearby can find what’s good today.

How do I add a spot or post an update?

Tap the add button on the map to create a spot in two quick steps — drop the location, pick a category, add a photo, and submit. To update an existing spot, open it and post a status report so the map stays fresh for everyone.

Why do some pins look faded?

Pin brightness reflects how recent a spot’s latest report is. A spot with a fresh update shows at full strength and gently fades as its status ages, so the map highlights what’s current. Tap any pin to see its full timeline and the exact time of the last report.

How do I report or block someone?

Every spot, update, and comment has a menu with Report and Block options. Reporting flags content for review; we act on objectionable content and abusive users — including removing content and banning accounts — within 24 hours. Blocking a user immediately hides their updates and comments from you. See our Community Guidelines for the full policy.

How do I delete my account?

Open your profile, go to Account & Legal, and tap Delete account. This permanently removes your account and the content associated with it. You can also email us and we’ll take care of it.

How is my location used?

Gatherly uses your location only to center the map and show spots near you. We don’t track your location in the background. See our Privacy Policy for details.
